Loretta Heywood ITEC/E.I.V.S/FHT /VTCT/NVQ3

Welcome

I’m Loretta, an Ayurvedic Health Advisor, professional massage therapist and intuitive bodyworker.

For over 26 years, I’ve helped people move from pain, tension and overwhelm towards greater ease, balance and wellbeing with insights on how best to manage their life. My work combines Ayurvedic philosophy, therapeutic bodywork and an intuitive, personalised approach.

Every treatment is tailored to you and may include Ayurvedic healing with deep muscular bodywork, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Reflexology, with various Ayurvedic techniques and intuitive bodywork.

My intention is to create a space where you can slow down, reconnect with your body and allow your nervous system to settle and releaser any tension or pain .

The Facial Experience

My personalised facials focus on the whole head, face, neck and shoulders. Using gentle lifting, sculpting and tension-release techniques, I particularly work with areas where we commonly hold stress, including the jaw.

Buccal work can also be incorporated if desired. This is more than a just facial where you will leave looking refreshed ,sculpted  and Hydrated , it’s also an opportunity to deeply relax, release tension and feel restored.

1–1 Consultations

Sometimes you simply need space to talk.

We can explore what’s currently going on for you, including lifestyle, wellbeing and Ayurvedic approaches that may offer support. I listen, ask questions and work with you to find practical approaches that fit your life.

About Me

My journey into this work began in the music and fashion worlds. During the 1980s and 1990s, I worked as a model and singer, including several years in Japan. I later became the vocalist of electronic band Bomb The Bass, co-writing Winter in July, a Top 3 UK hit.

Behind the excitement of performing and travelling was an increasingly demanding lifestyle. Eventually, anxiety, panic attacks and exhaustion forced me to slow down and rethink how I was living.

My own experience, alongside support from medical professionals and my study of Ayurveda, changed the direction of my life.

I took my first Ayurveda and healing course in 2000 and have continued studying and developing my skills ever since.

Today, my work is rooted in the belief that wellbeing isn't about constantly pushing through or fixing ourselves. Sometimes it's about learning to listen, slow down and create the conditions to feel more grounded and at home in our bodies and to learn to listen to our own intuition.

“Music has remained an important part of my life. Since 2014, I’ve returned to recording and performing, with various releases and occasional live shows.

For me, music and healing are connected — both create space for expression, connection and transformation”

Loretta's Philosophy

“Ayurveda is about understanding who we are, what we want from our lives and what we are doing with our own unique body type to achieve and maintain balance. This information can then be used as the tool to facilitate a fulfilling healthy life to achieving our dreams and find a perfect balance.

In my therapies, I combine healing, releasing and balancing. Within each session there will always be a variation in accordance to each clients specific needs. Ayurveda can do amazing things for people and create positive life changes, along with reducing stress, improving circulation and muscle tone, boosting the immune system and ridding toxins from the physical being as well as the emotional state. Ayurveda can make a positive difference in people’s lives and being able to educate and support individuals through their own journey, is my greatest gift of all".

My Intention

Whatever brings you through my door, my hope is that you leave feeling more comfortable in your skin, more connected to yourself and better able to meet whatever comes next.

Come as you are. Leave feeling more like yourself.
